Pressure Washing Concrete Slurry Caused By Cutting Seams

There’s no doubt that construction is a dirty job from the initial earthwork to the last brushstroke of paint and everything in between.  There’s always post construction cleanup to do inside and out of the new building before it can be turned over to the new owner.

We recently did a pressure washing job for a builder in Parker, CO at a new retirement home.  They needed our pressure washing service for the stamped concrete of four courtyards and two large covered entrance areas.  The courtyards mostly had just dirt, but some areas needed pressure washing for the concrete slurry from cutting the joints.

Two of the courtyards were totally surrounded by the building, so we had to run extra long lengths of pressure washing hose to reach through the building to the courtyards.

The two covered entrance areas had a lot of tire marks from skid-steers doing landscaping.  Most of the tire marks washed away with hot water, but some of the marks had carried asphalt from the fresh parking lot and ground it into the new concrete.  We had to use a special material to remove the tar and asphalt marks from the colored concrete.

The main purpose for cleaning the stamped concrete was so it could be sealed.  We washed all the dirt, slurry and stains away so the concrete would have a nice fresh appearance after sealing.
