Graffiti Removal From A New Development Sign
We went to do a graffiti removal job on a sign for a new development.
They didn’t even get the building built before someone tagged the sign out front! Let’s hope this isn’t a sign of what’s to come at this location.
If you think about it, anyone driving by a new building who might be a prospective tenant doesn’t want to see graffiti on the signs. It creates a negative impression, no matter what the building ends up looking like.
Tagging – no matter what the “artists” think – has been proven to lower property values.
Fortunately, the developers called us immediately and we got out the same day to remove the graffiti. They’re doing everything they can to make sure the graffiti doesn’t come back.
As we’ve said many times before, graffiti removal must be done as soon as possible. If you leave a canvas for these people to show their “artwork”, they’ll continue to post their art. If they know it will be removed before anyone has a chance to see it, they’ll go find someplace else to spend their time.
And if you try to remove the tags yourself, make sure you know what you’re doing. You can make it worse if you don’t use the right materials and procedures.
More times than we can count, we’ve been called to remove graffiti, only to find that someone else tried to remove it. And if they’ve smeared it around or partially dissolved it so it seeped deeper into the underlying surface, most of the time we can’t remove it completely.
I’m sure this sounds self serving, like you should never try to do it yourself because we’re the only ones who can do it. But that’s not the case.
There are other companies who know how to remove graffiti, too. We just want to make certain that people understand why sometimes they make it worse and there’s nothing we can do to help.
Thank You Notes
In this day and age of emails and Google reviews, we don't get handwritten notes much any more. So it is especially nice when one like this arrives in the mail. We recently did some fairly extensive graffiti removal for Marlene. Her vacant property was attracting...
The Wrong Way(s) to Remove Graffiti
Graffiti removal is one of our favorite things to do. Occasionally, we run into really tough jobs that are difficult or impossible to fix. But, by using the right techniques with the proper chemicals, we usually can make unwanted tags disappear like they never...
Graffiti Taggers Don’t Take Winters Off in Denver
Graffiti taggers are nothing if not persistent. Graffiti taggers often work regardless of the weather, showing a real dedication to marking their territory and spreading their message. Colorado's cold winters, snow, or rain usually won’t deter them, and they often...
