A contractor working in downtown Denver called us for a paint spill cleanup.
He was getting some tools out of his truck and he heard a clunk. When he turned around, he saw a can on it’s side leaking paint all over the sidewalk.
He put down some paper towels from his truck and mopped up what he could. Then he started Googling for someone to clean up the paint spill.
Fortunately, he didn’t use anything to try and clean it himself. Sometimes we get calls that someone has used paint thinner or some other chemical to clean the mess themselves.
What often happens is they thin out the paint or whatever they have spilled and it just soaks deeper into the concrete. Then when they call us, we often can’t get it out.
Unless you are sure you know what you are doing, you should call us before you try to use any chemicals. You don’t want to make it worse and create a mess that won’t go away.
We had a crew down there in a couple of hours and the paint spill was removed as though it never happened.
