Colorado is a great place to live – and work. And sometimes our work takes us to special places, and even though we’re working, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery.
We recently pressure washed the entire exterior of a new house along with the patios and driveway.
The custom-built home had just been completed in the Waterton Canyon area and the builder wanted everything shining before he turned it over to the new owners.
Some of the house was constructed with stone that was cut on-site. Because the wind was blowing all different directions, the stonecutter couldn’t keep the stone dust from blowing on the house. And after a rainstorm, the project manager noticed white spots and drip marks on the light fixtures, gutters and windows.

Knowing the problem wasn’t going away till all the stone was cut, he waited until the stonemason was finished before having us power wash the whole exterior. What he didn’t realize was those rainstorms would give all that stone dust a chance to bond with the surfaces it landed on.
Even part of the driveway had to be scrubbed along with the pressure washing to get all the dirt off.
Because there was so much stone dust in all the nooks and crannies, we had to hand wash and dry many of the areas in order to avoid white drip marks as the water dried. It was a unique situation and took some extra effort to get the house cleaned up.
But we’re used to special jobs. Many times the pressure washing and construction cleanup projects we do take much more than a power washer. And you have to know which materials and techniques to use on each different surface. This is where our 26 years experience is invaluable. It’s a great example of where cheaper, less experienced service will usually cost more in the long run.
