One of the most unique pressure washing jobs we’ve done recently was a construction cleanup on a custom built $15 million cabin up Coal Creek Canyon in the mountains outside of Denver.
We had to pressure wash the tile roof and chimneys, along with all the different levels of decks. The only way to reach all the different areas was with a 135 ft boom lift. One side had to be cleaned by stretching the boom lift across the river.
Part of using a lift, no matter what size, is knowing how to maneuver it efficiently. Most of them are large enough to cause damage if you run into the building.
And when you’re using one this large, you have to allow for how much it weighs. At more than 40,000 pounds, it can cause a lot of damage to landscaping. Because of the surrounding terrain, this was the only way we could reach the back.
We put down heavy plywood to prevent as much damage as possible. And we made sure the contractor understood that it would still leave indentations.
Knowing how to move a lift around and work on it safely takes experience. When you’re working on a property like this where money is no object, you want the most experienced pressure washing company you can find.
