Pressure Washing An 80,000sf Warehouse Interior
We got this job because we were the lowest bid, but this is not the best reason for choosing a pressure washing company. Sometimes, as in this case, a good pressure washing company has the knowledge and experience to do the job less expensively than any other company, but there are other factors you should consider before hiring any contractor.
The most important factoris to make sure the company has current auto, liability and worker’s comp insurance. You should always get an insurance Acord from the companies you hire. The Acord will show the coverage for all three types of insurance. All three are important because if the company isn’t insured and damages your property you will have to pay for the repairs. And if one of their employees gets injured on your property, you will be liable for all the medical bills, and could even be sued.
Don’t let any company tell you they don’t need Worker’s Comp insurance because their workers are sub-contractors. Unless it’s a one-man company or every one of their workers has a registered company name with the Secretary of State, they legally must have Worker’s Comp. If (by some small chance) each of the workers has a legitimate business, then each one must have their own liability and auto insurance.
The second thing to check is their reputation. You can do this through the Denver/Boulder Better Business Bureau and through the Colorado Secretary of State’s business database. Wash On Wheels is a Gold Star Award winner with an A+ rating with the BBB and we’re current with the Secretary of State.
The third factor is to ask if they guarantee their work. They should give you a clear description of the scope of work in their proposal and they should offer a 100% guarantee for the price they quote you. Sometimes unforeseen issues pop up after the work has begun. But an experienced contractor will let you know what those potential issues are before they start work.
No matter how big or small your project, find a contractor who will communicate with you from the first phone call to the last payment. At Wash On Wheels we make a point of maintaining clear communication with our clients. And by protecting our clients with the right insurance, a strong reputation and our 100% guarantee, we’ve been successfully cleaning Colorado for over 25 years.
