Sidewalk Cleaning After The March Of Dimes Mudd Volleyball Tournament
When the March of Dimes called us and said they needed some sidewalk cleaning, they weren’t kidding!
Their annual Mudd Volleyball tournament creates a lot of fun, a lot of funds, and a lot of mud!
They make a bunch of volleyball pits, fill them with water, and everyone plays volleyball in the mud. Everyone has a great time – and gets really dirty.
And with all those people tramping through the mud and then going back to their cars, its impossible to keep it from getting tracked on to the sidewalks and into the street.
So when they called us for some sidewalk cleaning – we knew it would be a little dirtier than your typical sidewalk. The amount of dirt was dramatically higher than normal.
But we can handle it!
And this job was a bigger challenge because of the weather. The pictures show a storm coming in and our guys fighting a pretty strong wind trying to get the job done.
When doing sidewalk cleaning, you have to make sure you don’t wash the dirt and debris into a storm sewer. The EPA, local wastewater districts, cities – and everyone else you can think of – frown on that kind of behavior. And Colorado’s pressure washing law clearly states you can’t do that.
Everything that goes down the storm sewer eventually runs into the river. It’s important to keep that in mind when you think about washing your car or the fertilizer on your lawn into the gutter. It all runs to the river.
So when we took this particular sidewalk cleaning job, we knew would have to block the storm drains and capture all the runoff. Pressure washing has to done the right way so you don’t cause environmental problems for your clients.
Making sure you don’t get caught doing it wrong isn’t taking care of your clients best interests.
For most companies and large organizations, making sure the job is done right – whether its sidewalk cleaning or any other type of service – is more important than making sure they get the cheapest price. Doing a quality job saves money in the long run.
Call us to get your sidewalk cleaning done right.
