Wood Fence Cleaning Isn’t As Easy As You Might Expect
Wood fence cleaning isn’t hard – if you know what you’re doing.
The easiest way to clean your fence is with pressure washing. No materials are required, just water.
The hard part is having the skill to do the job right. If you don’t have a steady hand and the ability to control the gun smoothly, its easy to cut and gouge the wood and make a mess.
A good comparison is painting. Anyone can use a spray can to paint things but making the job look great takes practice. The skill required to use a spray can and paint some small object and make it look good is still that of an amateur.
Just because you can spray paint a wooden bench or metal container in your backyard doesn’t mean you have the ability to spray paint the door on your car and make it look professional. That level of skill takes a lot of practice before it can be done the right way.
And while cleaning your fence doesn’t take the same level of skill as painting a car, it still takes a lot of practice before you can do a good job.
We don’t send just any of our crews to do fence cleaning. Not all of them have spent enough time with the pressure washing gun to have the skill we require.
If you’re a craftsman and have spent a lot of time using different tools, you can probably rent a pressure washer and do the job yourself. But if you’re particular about how well the job is done, you may be frustrated that you can’t do it very smoothly. It may not be worth the frustration and time to end up with a rough fence that you’re not happy with.So if you need wood fence cleaning – and you want to make sure the job is done right – give us a call. You can be sure the crew we send has years of experience and will do the job right – the first time.
