Pressure Washing Special Equipment Turns Into a Wild Goose Chase!

Gradall Industries contacted us in early August to set up pressure washing of some specialized equipment they were bringing to Denver for a convention at the Colorado Convention Center on September 16th.  They were planning well ahead, but this time it didn’t quite work out the way they hoped.

The equipment was supposed to be delivered by a trucking company to the staging yard the morning of the 16th.

We were set up to meet the Gradall representative early afternoon at the staging yard.  We didn’t know where the staging yard was since all the work we’ve done in the past was actually done at the Convention Center.  It took a few phone calls, but we found the staging yard for this particular event was near 48th and Franklin – about 15 minutes north of the Convention Center.

However, when we got there, there was no equipment to be found and the security guard hadn’t seen anything.  On top of that, the Gradall rep’s flight from Texas was delayed because of a big storm.  So one of his co-workers, who had flown in earlier in the day but knew less about the situation than we did, had to meet us.  When he showed up (after a few scenic tours in a taxi), he made several phone calls and finally found out that the equipment had actually been delivered to the Convention Center.

We gave our frustrated client a ride to the Convention Center in our pressure washing truck where he located the vehicle and brought it down to us.  We gave the special street sweeping truck and equipment a good pressure washing so it was shining for the convention.
