Every year we do a special car washing at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
While the fairgrounds is best known for rodeos and 4H style events, its also a great place for a car sale.
Stevinson Automotive has their annual Wild West Sale at the fairgrounds. They move about 400 cars from their seven different dealerships out to the fairgrounds.
This year they added the sale to their new Hyundai dealership in Longmont and had us do the car washing at that location as well.
They set up special facilities at the fairgrounds including tents and tables for all the people who come to see the hundreds of different cars.
They need us to have all the cars clean before they open the sale in the morning. We have our crews come in early and leave our shop at 5:30am to get all the cars shining before the gates open to the public.
Stevinson Automotive calls us every year because they know they can count on us. We’re the only car washing company that can get all those cars clean in a short amount of time.
We washed cars for a sale in February at Sports Authority Field a few years ago and washed more than 1000 cars in a little over two hours. It was a very cold day and we had to wait until late morning for the temperature to get above freezing. Then we had to finish in the few hours before it started freezing again.
We do car washing for many of metro Denver’s auto dealers and we wash thousands of cars every week, even in the winter. Its not a job for the faint of heart. Washing cars at 33 degrees takes some getting used to.
But when we wash for Stevinson’s Wild West Sale we don’t have any temperature issues to deal with. We just have to get all our crews moving for the early morning start.
Which is usually pretty at that time of the morning. The Jefferson County Fairgrounds sits up on a hill overlooking Denver. The early morning views can be pretty amazing.
