This building pressure washing job was unique since the building has parking underneath – and the upper walls are made of glass and stone.
Different techniques and materials are needed for each surface. While you can use stronger materials and brushes on the stone, you need to be more careful on the glass portions.
While this building isn’t difficult to clean, it does require a different technique for building pressure washing than if the walls were made of brick or concrete.
When pressure washing a building made of glass, you can’t use material that is too strong. You don’t want to leave streaks on the glass or possibly etch it.
And you need to use a rinse agent to make sure the rinse water slides off and doesn’t leave spots. And there are special procedures that have to be done right to make sure the building comes out as clean as possible.
Long extension poles and soft brushes are needed. If you use a hard bristle brush, you can scratch the glass.
