Denver‘s crazy weather shows no signs of getting back to normal.

In Denver, we often plow snow one day and wash cars the next – our snows rarely stay on the ground very long. But its rare that we plow and wash on the same day.

On Monday, two days before Christmas, our car washing crews were scheduled to leave at 10am, as soon as the temperatures got warm enough to wash. There was zero chance of snow.

Around 2am, our snow plowing clients called us to come out and plow their parking lots and shovel the sidewalks at the office buildings and shopping centers we take care of.

This isn’t a problem since our guys are always ready to go. We took care of them all on time before the businesses opened. But this was a little strange in that there wasn’t the slightest chance of snow in the forecast. Normally there will be at least some hint that we might be going out to plow.

And we’re used to dealing with Colorado’s changing forecasts. The Rocky Mountains just west of us play havoc with the weather. You never know if it will stop there, change direction, or come rolling down like gangbusters.

But even after the snowfall, around one inch, the temperatures still got warm enough to melt it all off. So we knew at least some of the car dealers we wash cars for would still be expecting us to come wash. So our guys grabbed a nap and came back later that morning to go back out and wash cars.

Running pressure washing services in Colorado with the constantly changing weather can be a real challenge.
