We got a call for help from a small pressure washing contractor in Hawaii.

He was trying to bid a warehouse cleaning job and didn’t know how to get started. He called us since we have a reputation for knowing how to get the big jobs done efficiently.

We get a lot of calls like this and we can’t help everyone. Some offer to pay for our time and some try to pretend they want us to do a job for them, thinking they’ll get everything for free. After 26 years, we’ve seen every scam in the book. And we’re not in the habit of helping our local competitors learn how to take work from us.

But every now and them, we’ll get a sincere call from a small pressure washing contractor who isn’t trying to scam us and really needs some information to get the job done.

So when this guy from Hawaii called, our service manager took a few minutes and coached him through what he needed to get started without blowing up the building.

You have to know how to work with all the lights and electrical connections to make sure you don’t blow circuit breakers – or worse. Unfortunately, we’ve learned a few pressure washing lessons the hard way, too.

Sometimes when you’re cleaning warehouse interiors or other large buildings, you have to do the work without them shutting the business down. It requires flexible scheduling and the ability to schedule more than one truck and crew to get the job done on time.

A few weeks after we talked to this contractor, we got a box in the mail. He had taken the time to send us some Hawaiian coffee, cookies and chocolate covered macadamia nuts. That’s the kind of pressure washing contractor you don’t mind helping out!
