When a garden center is open to the elements, Denver power washing is a good option for cleaning them, even in winter’s freezing temperatures.

Denver Power Washing A Garden Center In The Winter

We got a call for power washing the garden center at a Home Depot in Thornton recently. They had a problem with a high volume of pigeon droppings in the aisles.

The aisles in the garden center after we power washed them

Since the garden center was open to the elements, there was no good way to prevent the birds from flying in and resting on top of the boxes stacked on the pallet rack. It is an attractive roosting place for them providing a difficult to reach spot high above the ground with some shelter from the wind and rain.

But the bird droppings were accumulating to the point where it was difficult to walk down some of the aisles without stepping in them. Not to mention there were droppings on many of the boxes.

But in the winter, it can be difficult to do power washing without freezing up your equipment. You need to know how to do it to get the job done.

The bird droppings were everywhere

The most important requirement is having your power washing equipment in a closed container to keep it from freezing on the way to the job. We run box trucks for this purpose. Hauling your equipment on a trailer behind your pickup like many small companies do just doesn’t work in the winter.

This Home Depot Store needed us to do the cleaning at night when they didn’t have customers who could get splattered while we were cleaning. It was 26 degrees when we did this job. But we got the job done on time when our client needed it done.

So if you need a Denver power washing service that can get the job done in cold temperatures, give us a call at 303-937-7181.
